I made this 17cm tall, 10cm diameter ceramic vase on the potters wheel. The narrow neck, and flowing crystals add depth and fluidity to the vase making it a very individual piece. The crystals are natural, and form in the surface of the glaze during the cooling phase of the firing, the pattern and design they make are entirely dependant on glaze mixture and firing schedules, making each piece unique. White, blue and green crystals have been chosen for this piece to enhance the natural qualities of the form to invoke cloud, sky and earth.
