Crystalline glazed, porcelain vase

I made this 14cm tall porcelain ceramic porcelain vase on the potters wheel. The narrow neck, and floating blue crystals on a pale green background give it an ethereal quality, enhancing the depth and fluidity of the vase, making it a very individual piece. It has been fired to a high temperature 1270 oC where the porcelain body begins to vitrify, making it completely waterproof. The crystals are natural, and form in the surface of the glaze during the cooling phase of the firing, the pattern and design they make are entirely dependant on glaze mixture and firing schedules, making each piece unique. Great stable pot for cut flowers.
