Posy pot. This is a stoneware vessel thrown originally for the crystalline glazes. However this is a reactive glaze. A shiny brown, needed to be added thinly, and an oxided mixture glaze on top, This can be copper green, iron cream, cobalt blue. Most of these pots, I chose the copper green which proved to be quite runny. Fired to 1280 this time in a gas kiln, with a reduction. h 7.5cm x w 8.5 cm approx.
This vase looks lovely with sweet peas, or marigolds. Price includes UK postage. If you would rather collect, they are available from the pottery at The Jinney Ring Craft Centre.
