Bryonie Williams

I trained as an art teacher at Dudley College of Education and spent most of my working life teaching all ages and many different subjects. On retirement I returned to my first love, ceramics and since then have been developing my style, hand building a variety of forms, experimenting with textures and colour, with much of my work a response to nature.

I also continue to draw, paint and create collages and these I have made into glaze transfers. I like to experiment and combine under glaze colours, torn papers and etching into the clay to create ceramic ‘collages’ and draw into slip to reveal layers of colour. I am still exploring what is possible, enjoying the creative process as much as the finished item.
