Returning to potting after 20 years, I have picked up the threads and regained my love of working with clay. I am to replicate the materials which surround me where I live in Brickyard Lane.I use a combination of throwing and hand building to make simple tactile forms in natural colour tones. I enjoy experimenting with glazes and seeing how they add character and uniqueness to each pot.

My work is influenced and inspired by Katherine Pleydell-Bouverie’s interest in ash glazes, Lucy Rie’s perfectionism, and Walter Keeler’s boldness and sense of humour.
