My name is Andrew Chandler
I have over 25 years experience in the Terracotta Clayware Industry and during that time at least 10 years of Pottery Evening Class at Nuneaton Collage.
A Level  (B) Pass in the History & Technique of Pottery
I have passed a 3 years Plaster Model & Mould Making Certificate with distinction at Staffordshire University.

I am a member of the MPA from Nuneaton in Warwickshire.
I am usually a fairly inactive member, except for several years ago when Clare Botterill and Tony Blenkinsop helped organise a small marquee at Hatfield House for about 10 of us MPA members to exhibit in, three or four of us did quite well the rest got some interest and experience and had a great time.

I bought a bigger burner from Northern Kilns for my home made oil drum kiln.
Then I improved my workshop from a 6x6 foot shed to a 3x4 metre concrete building with windows overlooking our garden.

A year or so after that me and a work mate who is good at welding, fabricated a large metal box 1m x 1m with a door, legs and large canopy and a flue, the kiln looks a bit like a laser downdraft propane gas fired type, internal setting space size 26"w x 26"w x 30"h.

As time went by I improved my range of products from ceramic clocks, some of which were on show at the Jane Powell Gallery in Kenilworth, also at Whitemoors Gallery in Shenton,
and the ex. Bond Street Gallery in Nuneaton.

I have had a stall at Ryton Organic Gardens, and hope to have a stall at Burbage Common Open Day 13 May 2007, to include my Clocks, and a durable range of Terracotta Red and Buff House Plaques, and also wide shallow earthenware bowls (still in development).

During more recent years I have supplied a number of small local shops with my House Plaques, and now  I would like to share the opportunity to sell to you, through the MPA. Web site.
